Empowering young mothers in Zambia with grace and hope for an abundant future.

Why

1 in 3 girls ages 13-16 in Zambia will find themselves pregnant. Due to misinformation and lack of support many drop out of school. Almost 100% of them will never finish high school without some type of help or intervention. And many see abortion as the only answer to finishing their schooling. In Zambia, girls already fall behind in education, boys rarely father or support their children, and there are virtually no resources and support for pregnant girls who want to finish their education.

Purpose

Kharis House exists to provide intervention to young, vulnerable, pregnant girls in Zambia. Discipling & empowering young mothers with the possibility of abundant life. Equipping them with resources to say yes to all that God has created them to be. Allowing teenage mothers to know and understand their potential as daughters of the Almighty King.

How

Kharis House will provide an alternative. Sanctity of life for mother and baby will be priority. A healthy, safe, empowering home where girls and their children can find holistic care, professional counseling, discipleship, restoration, and hope for their future through education. Collaborating with ministries, churches, government organizations, NGOs, schools, and others. Working together to help them become contributing members of their families and communities.
